Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is set during the early 18th century and features some of the most infamous pirates in history.
The game follows the story of a young British man who falls from privateering for the Royal Navy into piracy and who soon finds himself embroiled in the ancient war between Assassins and Templars.

Why you want it:
Perfect for anyone that enjoys historical fiction, the level of historical accuracy and detail put into this game is commendable. The visuals are stunning, and let's face it: being an assassin is fun. Plus the male lead isn't exactly hard on the eyes.

Disney Infinity is an adventure game that features various Disney characters, featured in the Disney Movies. Whatever character you choose to place on the lighted hub, will determine what adventure you are going to play.
You start off by using your imagination to create the worlds that you will join. With each character you are taken to their world and help them to complete their adventure.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is out for both the PC and the PS3. This is a total reboot of the first FFXIV MMO (which admittedly flopped). All of the races from FFXI Online are here, but revamped and renamed.
I recommend the PS3 version; I'm a sucker for MMOs I can play from my couch.
Why you want it:
Airships, chocobos, and moogles, oh my! Ancient lore, epic plots; with all the classic hallmarks you've come to expect from Square Enix, this is a solid pick for those that love the Final Fantasy franchise. |
Buy it:
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available on the PS3 for $40. |
