10 Questions Gaming Interview With Shari From The Knit Wit by Shair

We are starting a new thing here on And She Games!  A 10 question interview with YOU our readers and friends!  So if you are interested in answering the questions please let us know!

I decided to go first to get it all started.

1. What kind of gamer are you? Single Gamer, Mommy Gamer, Gamer by association, long time gamer, newbie, not sure why you are here and answering these questions?
I am a Mommy Gamer, married to a gamer, and have been a gamer for many years.  We are, of course, raising gamers.

2. What types of games do you like to play? Board games, video games, app games, table top, card?
I like Board Games, Video Games, App Games, Computer Games, Card Style Games.  I am willing to give just about anything a go at least once.

3. Tell us about your #1 go to game; it might not even be your favourite, but it's the one you find yourself playing the most often.
Candy Crush, and Farmville 2.  When bored they are at hand, and a good distraction from boredom or stress.

4. What is your favourite place to play games? the coffee shop? the computer room? in your PJs on the couch?
Pretty much wherever I am waiting: Doctor's office, sitting on the couch, laying in the bed chatting with hubby.

5. Who do you play games with? strangers? your spouse? family? friends? solo? 
Usually solo, but sometimes with my boys, or hubby.

5.B. What is your favourite party game? 
Balderdash...you haven't lived until you played with my Aunt (especially the more wine she has had), or with my gang of friends from back in the day.

5C. Do you game with your spouse? If yes, do things ever get too competitive? Does gaming bring you together or drive you apart?
By playing together it's usually him playing the video game, and us figuring out the puzzles, or where to go, or whatever.  He will only play video games with me, or board games with me if I nag :P  There are some things we don't do well that good together play games WITH each other, or home improvement projects.  It works better if he does the doing and I do the keeping of company and figuring out of problems that he is getting frustrated with.

6. Do you game with your kids? If yes, what are some of your favourite games to play with the kids? 
Yes. Until they get all crazy. Well we liked Cars Monopoly, and Bejewelled, and Tetris Jenga....until they took them out and lost all the pieces.  

6.B What is your favourite family game? 
I use to love playing The Game of Life, Euchre, and Yahtzee with my parents.

7. What's currently at the top of your gamer wishlist? 
A Wii U!

8. Go retro: Name a classic game you loved from ten or twenty years ago.
Pitfall, and Dr. Mario are my all time favourite video games! Totally wish they would bring Dr. Mario back for the Wii

9. How many hours a week do you spend gaming?
More than I should.  LOL Probably about 14+ :P

10. Why do you game? Is it all about winning? Escapism? Family time?
I am highly competitive if I am playing I want to win.  But it usually starts out just to have fun with friends family, or because I am stressed and I need a few minutes break.  But then I have to get the most points, just one more time through this level so I can get past that person's score or whatever.
