App of The Week: Evolution: Battle for Utopia

Evolution: Battle for Utopia is a free-to-play base building action game created by My.com. And while you might be given a gun-toting robot dog companion right from the start, ol’ FIDO won’t cut it forever.

My.com has created an action, RPG and Strategy game all rolled into one fun game.  You get to be the captain of an expedition to a distant planet. 

The game itself is available on several different platforms, so you can get all your friends playing!  And it is in real time, it is an action game but you don't have to be really fast with your reaction time to still master this game and have a lot of fun!

You will be on a new planet where you will have allies and a dog to be on your team! You will need to build a base and protect it, change the planet into a more suitable habitat for your needs, and upgrade your character to make him/her the best you can be for domination of course!

Terraform the planet! Unique extraterrestrial civilization technology is now in your hands! Turn lifeless land into green oases with its unique flora and fauna!

While this is a free-to-play app, there is a lot of in app purchase opportunities.  If you have time you can keep playing and upgrade slowly, but sometimes that can be painfully slow.  There is the in app purchases.  If you are letting someone else (like a teen play) you will want to be aware that they can make in app purchases and it can get quite costly.
