Mall Madness

I have been doing the Ultimate Board Games and Current Video Games Lists for a while now.  Through this process I am finding games I totally forgot about from when I was a kid.  So I have decided to go through the list and write posts about games I loved, or have played and do a "review" type post.  Or tell a story or whatever.

So when I was a "tween" I had a friend who had the game Mall Madness, since I loved playing board games, we use to play all the time!

In case you don't know, Mall Madness is a shopping themed board game, that was designed for players aged 9 and up. The targeted consumer was teenage girls, usually 11 to 16 years old - which I was totally in that demographic, and totally loved the game!

This game was the coveted game when I was a kid, and my friend pretty much got every thing that was the in thing.  We actually had 2 different family friends that were like that, which worked out really well for us.  My parents couldn't afford a lot of that stuff, so if they knew our friends were for sure going to get it, they didn't always have to. They could get us something else we wanted, and we would get to play all the time with the other item, as the kids were our best friends anyways.

I remember sitting around for hours playing Mall Madness, and having all kinds of girly giggling fun.
