Tapple Review

Here at And She Games, we are always looking for some fun family games that we can share with all of you.

I wanted to introduce you all to Tapple today.  This game is 8+, but it isn't hard to learn. I suspect it's 8+ because kids younger than that have a hard time thinking of something that starts with a certain letter in certain categories. Basically you a disk with letters on it, and a pile of category cards. You press the red button and have 10 seconds to think of a word that starts with that letter from the board that is in the category you were given.

Then you press the letter it starts with down. Play goes around until there is one person still in, or you run out of letters.

We found this to be a fun family game. Although our boys had a hard time thinking of things in certain categories, they just needed to use the easier categories, or got knocked out. They were having fun either way, and laughed as Daddy and I kept playing!

I really liked that it didn't take long to set up, or to teach the boys, and the boys were able to join in. They also had to think really hard to come up with new words, which was really good for working on their brain development, thinking fast, and vocabulary.
