8 Embarrassing Achievements

When you are playing games, getting an achievement is usually something you are proud of, I say usually because I have a few that I am not so proud of.

I found a video describing 8 embarrassing gaming achievements you don't want on your gaming card.  I have actually achieved 2 of these....and I am not about to tell you which ones...no I am not!

Top 4 favourite YouTube Gaming Channels

I am not a big YouTube video watcher, but since researching for our Movie Mondays on this blog I have found a few YouTube channels I really like.

Also while hubby and I played Tomb Raider we were searching some walk-thrus on some of the special missions.  We found many videos most weren't that great, so through that process I found some detailed channels as well.

Here are 4 of my favourite gaming related YouTube Channels:


1. WatchMojo

I am always looking for new top 10 lists that are interesting and unique takes on video gaming for out Movie Mondays.  WatchMojo has new top 10 lists everyday.  They post lists about: Movies, Video Games, Music, Pop Culture, anything and everything.

If you are looking for video games, you can easily find those though!


2. Gameranx

If you like fun and interesting takes on video games, then this is a great channel. They do Top 10 lists, but also post about gaming news, and reviews. 

They cover all things gaming with a unique voice.


3. XCV

The next one is all about walkthroughs!  Of all the walkthrough videos we watched, this guy was the best quality, and easiest to follow. We really liked the way he showed where he was, and what part of the map we had to be at.  We also liked the way he zoomed in on what you were looking for, so you always were very clear on what it looked like.

So he doesn't always do walkthroughs but that is what we really watched.  He also does: Gameplay Previews, Trailers, Achievement / Trophy Guides, and more!


4. Larry Bundy Jr

Apparently Larry was on tv previously and was known as "That Guru Larry". I did not know this, but I do enjoy the videos he makes. His videos are all about obscure gaming facts you've probably never heard before. I like his sense of humour and his unique voice.

Top 10 Worst Mario Spin Offs

I think everyone loves a Mario game or two, my favourite is Dr. Mario! I still play regularly!  BUT they are some that haven't been pulled off as well as others.  Some have been a huge flop!

Have you ever played some games, that you felt like you just couldn't beat? I know I have. Admittedly, I wasn't always very good at games, so that could be why. However, I know of a few games that were so hard only a few people that I knew could beat them, OR no one at all.

Ok so this one has a bit of language in it, which means I wouldn't normally share it....but then they had to go and mention there was almost a Nintendo Knitting Machine with a pattern maker, and I had to share this because....I want one now!

I think we have all played some bad video games in our day. I know I have! We had that ET game that they recently found buried in the desert, even I thought it was terrible.

But here are some that I am surprised even were made! They are pretty horrible!

50 PC Gaming Setups

There was a time before we had kids where hubby and I had an office, and played a lot more PC Games.

Once we had the 2nd boy we had to get rid of the office with our Gaming PCs. We just didn't have the room for it anymore.  We switched over to gaming consoles as our primary video gaming option.  It was easier in our space as we could have the consoles in one place, and play on it together instead of having our own systems to play together.

Movie Monday - Video Game Law Suits

I've decided to do Movie Mondays where I share a video I found that is interesting and is gaming related. 

I have subscribed to a Gameranx's Youtube Channel as they have some interesting videos, posting new ones daily.
