The Elder Scrolls
The Elder Scrolls are a series of role-playing video games.
Arena began its development as a gladiator-style arena combat game. Had this concept been followed through to the eventual release, it would have consisted predominantly of the player character voyaging about the land of Tamriel with a band of fighters, fighting your way through local competitions on to regional ones, and eventually on through to the grand championship in the Imperial City. As development progressed, this initial vision was lost, as RPG elements were attached in increasing number to the initial arena combat substructure. The player was allowed to meander about the towns he visited, and later still to raid dungeons with team. Eventually the entire conceptual underpinnings of the game were overhauled, and the game became a full-fledged RPG. Arena combat game never ended up being coded, and only fragments of text remain from the initial conceptualizing stages of the game. In the end, Arena was shipped without any arena combat at all.

The Last of Us
The Last of Us is a
third-person Survival-Action game that utilizes choices in gameplay
action to develop the game storyline, as well as the relationship
between the two main characters, Joel and Ellie, made exclusively for
the PS3 system. The game features a combination of combat, exploration,
stealth, and platforming game mechanics. Although Joel and Ellie are
both residents of a post-apocalyptic world, they have had different
experiences that affect the way they see the world around them, and feel
about what they see and do. Joel had a life before the pandemic, while
the world of the pandemic is all that Ellie has ever known. As part of
Joel's job to smuggle Ellie out of the quarantine zone, players have to
make choices in how they deal with enemies, which include, roving gangs
of human scavengers not unlike themselves, military elements and
infected civilians.
Players
also have an opportunity to interact together with elements of the
world around them, which helps to build the bond between Joel and Ellie.
Resources in the game are scarce, making overwhelming use of firepower
unlikely and unwise in conflicts, and resource gathering missions. In
addition, most other residents of the ruined world that are encountered
are just trying to survive - blurring the line between good guys and bad
guys. Finally, game AI react differently depending on the specifics of
the player's actions, making choice in gameplay a major consideration.

The Legend of Zelda Series
The Legend of Zelda is a high fantasy themed action-adventure series.Its gameplay is a mixture of action, adventure, and puzzle solving. It is one of Nintendo's most prominent and popular franchises.

Tomb Raider: Underworld
Tomb Raider: Underworld for Xbox 360 by Eidos resumes where Tomb Raider: Legend left off. Lara's shirt will also get wet, and she's more likely to lose her grip if she is standing on a slippery, rain-soaked ledge. When the sun comes out, her shirt will dry and the slippery surfaces regain their friction.
In Underworld, Lara also has a lot more flexibility in how she makes her way through a level, as there is often more than one way to get from here to there. She can now climb walls with texture and rocky outcroppings to reach areas she previously wouldn't have been able to access.
All of these additions have been made to give the game a non-linear, open feel. Players can interactive with the environment by doing things they find to be intuitive, and the game will respond in an appropriate way. When Lara interacts with trees, for example, she will push aside leaves using either one or two hands depending on whether or not she's holding something. These details give a lifelike, immersive sensation to the game.
