Each week we post an App Of The Week that we would like you to know about. This week Deanna told me about Marvel Puzzle Quest, and I wanted to share it with you.
What this means is there are cut scenes with your favourite Marvel characters and a story line that you can follow along with as you go.
This graphics are pretty awesome, even on my soon-to-be-obsolete 5s.
The story line is funny, and fun, and of course it's all the Match-3 Puzzle fun that we all love.
In the actual game part, you are helping the characters play. Each time you match a certain colour or symbol it's that character that jumps into the battle and fights that match up.
The power ups of course are related to the character you are protraying and using to play.
My first thought when I heard about this was "How much is this going to cost?"
Well, it is a free to play game, which I love! Most of these character games are either free for one or two levels, or you have to purchase them from the start.
I love that this is free, and I love that my boys are going to be all over it. They play Candy Crush sometimes, but they are all about Super Heroes and fighting. Since they like match-3 puzzle games, I know they are going to love this.
You get to be a part of the Marvel Universe in an epic story written by Marvel veterans Frank Tieri (Iron Man, Wolverine, Weapon X) and Alex Irvine (Iron Man: The Rapture, Daredevil Noir) based on the Dark Reign storyline, a monumental narrative in Marvel history.
And I like that this app is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Korean.
If you have an app you think we should feature on App of The Week let us know and we will check it out. Right now these are all just ones we have found and want to share. We are running out of ideas! LOL We would love to hear yours!

I am not sure if this would be an app for me, but my husband would love it.
ReplyDeleteYeah my boys love it! I think it's neat, but wouldn't play daily.
DeleteMy nephew would love this app, will have to tell him about it! Thanks for sharing! (Judy Cowan)
