Star Wars Hands Down is Hands Down Fun!

This year for our holiday gift guide I was sent the Star Wars Hands Down Game.  We quickly added it to the gift guide, and stuck it aside.  The 2 months leading up to Christmas so busy for bloggers, and families, that playing games needs to be done after the work.

Once the hustle and bustle settled down, I pulled out the game to play with my youngest.  Our 3 boys are all huge Star Wars fans, and they love a fun game too!

The set up for this game is super easy. Basically you have a spinner, a dot, and 4 sets of 5 cards.  You place the spinner, and dot in the center, and then each person picks 1 set of cards.

The youngest person gets to pick who spins first. FYI a 5yo will pick himself, every single time. This will annoy his brothers, every single time.

One person spins the spinner, then everyone tries to find the matching character in their set.  They grab it, and slam it down. Whoever gets theirs down first, wins that hand, and you move on to the next one. Whoever empties their hand first wins the game.

Halfway through the explanation of the instructions, my 5 yo started telling me what he thought the rules were. He was right.  It is pretty easy for younger kids to understand.  Although, he never won a single hand, as he was a little slow finding his cards.

The older 2 boys heard us playing, and had to jump in. They really enjoyed it.  All 3 of the boys were laughing so hard, and we all had a great time.  They did get a little loud and rowdy, but they were having so much fun!

Overall this game is a really fun one for younger kids.  Our boys are aged: 9, 7, and 5.
