Yoshi's Wooly World

Ok I must say as a knitter (and a bit of a crazy one at that), I really really really want this Yoshi's Wooly World with the knitted Yoshi!  Like so very much!! Some of the things in the background look knitted and some look crocheted but it looks so awesome!

I am sure even if you are looking for a gift for someone who isn't obsessed with yarn, they would still love it.

In this game you set off with a friend through a wild, and woolly world.

A treasure trove of clever handicraft stages are ready for you to explore. Unravel their secrets and color your world with a spectrum of yarn balls to knit new paths and get every last collectible.

In each crafty stage there are new surprises to discover, and you just need to unravel or push walls to discover hidden areas and goodies!

You even get the adorable Blue Yarn Yoshi amiibo with this game!

POKKÉN TOURNAMENT FOR Wii U

If you are a Pokémon fan, or a fan of fighting games, then I have a new title you should check out.  Nintendo just recently launched Pokkén Tournament on Wii U.

Fans of Pokémon know that the card games are all about fighting, but you don't actually get to fight.  However with this new fighting game you can actually use your Pokémon characters to fight in their own styles! Imagine controlling:  Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, or any of the 16 total characters.

Each Pokémon has it's own unique moves, so it is beneficial to use different ones in different situations.  Using the special moves will make the game even more exciting to Pokémon fans.  I know I have a niece and nephews who grew up playing Pokémon.  While they are not as into playing the actual card game now, this is the sort of video game they play, so they would enjoy getting to use their Pokémon and fighting!

There are 30 additional Pokémon that you can call upon sort support you during battle!  They can help you win, if you are in a potentially losing situation.

You can choose to play in a single-player mode and level up your Pokémon as you battle in various leaques.  And you can personalize their trainer card.  There are also options to play online, and local multiplayer options.

It is a Wii U game with amiibo support, which means tapping any amiibo figure or card will unlock items in the game!

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the Wii U, a review from @DownshiftingPRO's son

Want an incredibly detailed review of CAPTAIN TOAD: TREASURE TRACKER for the Wii U? Check out this write up from @DownshiftingPRO's son...

Quick question: Ever heard of Wario’s Woods?

If you’re a die-hard Nintendo fan like me, you should have. Wario’s Woods is notable for many reasons, including the last Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game released under Nintendo’s official license, the last Mario game released on the NES, Wario’s only appearance in an NES title, and the only NES title given an age rating by the ESRB (The game was also released on the SNES, but it’s the NES version that it gets it’s fame, or lack thereof, from.) However, there is another reason this game is notable: It is the only Mario instalment to have a Toad be it’s one and only protagonist. That is, until the release of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (CT:TT) for the Wii U, a full twenty years later.
