We wanted to work on Video Games next.   But first, let me say that there are a lot of video games out there.  Every type and variety, and I am sure we will miss some a long the way.  Also since some games and systems are absolete and "current" can be a relative term, we went with 2005 and newer, and as many as we can find.

Ageod's American Civil War

Ageod's American Civil War: The Blue and the Gray (AACW) is a historical operational turn-based strategy computer game (WEGO system) that places players at the head of the U.S. or CSA during the American Civil War (1861–1865). Players are military and political leaders trying to lead the troops of their nations (armies and fleets) to victory, in the midst of some of the toughest operations during those five years of wild campaigning throughout a divided nation, while making political and economical/financial decisions throughout the game that affect the outcome. Most of the individual years of campaign between 1861 and 1865 are playable via a separate scenario (to be refined during beta testing). Advanced scenarios will allow recreation of some yearly and/or theater campaigns, and there will be of course the complete Grand Campaign covering the whole war.

Angry Birds

Anno 1404


Anno 1404, known as Dawn of Discovery in North America, is a city-building and economic simulation game of the Anno series, with real-time strategy elements. Released in 2009, it was developed by Related Designs, produced by Blue Byte, and published by Ubisoft.

Anno 1404 is the sequel to Anno 1701 and is followed by the futuristic sequel Anno 2070. Though the game centers on a series of fictional events, the overall concept of the storyline is based upon real life aspects of medieval/renaissance history such as The Crusades, advancements in gothic architecture, construction of cathedrals, and hanseatic trade involving the rise of patrician merchants and early forms of capitalism.

An expansion, titled Anno 1404: Venice, which adds multiplayer and other features, was released on February 26, 2010.

ARCA Sim Racing

ARCA Sim Racing is a stock-car racing simulator developed by The Sim Factory LLC, a small American-based computer software company devoted to the production of racing simulation software. The game simulates the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX season.

ARCA Sim Racing is based on Image Space Incorporated's game engine, ISIMotor2, which was used in rFactor. In August 2006, The Sim Factory purchased the rights to use the ISIMotor2 engine in their software, and with the help of ISI, The Sim Factory was able to recode the engine to produce a realistic stock car simulation.

The game is produced by a very small company consisting of about 10 devoted developers. The software was released for pre-ordering on January 1, 2008. The game originally included 10 (now 23) tracks that were scratch built to replicate the real life tracks.

Assassin's Creed - Xbox 360

Assassin's Creed is a 2007 historical fiction action-adventure open world stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal released in 2007 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and 2008 for Microsoft Windows. The game primarily takes place during the Third Crusade in the Holy Land in 1191, with the plot revolving around the Secret Order of Assassins, based upon the Hashshashin sect.

The player is in reality playing as a modern-day man named Desmond Miles, who through the use of a machine named the "Animus", is allowed the viewing and controlling of the protagonist's genetic memories of his ancestors, in this case, Altaïr ibn-La'Ahad, a member of the Assassins. Through this plot device, details emerge of a struggle between two factions, the Knights Templar and the Assassins, over an artifact known as a "Piece of Eden", an ancient artifact used to control minds. The game received generally positive reviews, and won several awards at E3 in 2006. The game spawned a sequel, Assassin's Creed II, which was released in November 2009. Since the release and success of Assassin's Creed II, subsequent releases have been yearly with various other Assassins and time periods.
